How ToolBox handles the data you put through it.

Last updated: 14 July 2026

The short version

ToolBox is built to be privacy friendly. There are no user accounts, no tracking cookies, and no advertising or analytics that profile you. We do not sell or share your data with anyone.

What we process

When you run a tool, the values you enter (text, numbers, or an image) are sent to our server, processed in memory, and the result is returned to your browser. Nothing you submit is written to disk or stored in a database — once the response is sent, the data is gone.

  • Text & calculator tools — run entirely on the server and keep nothing.
  • Image tools — your image is decoded, transformed, and returned; the file is never saved.
  • Website tools — DNS, SSL and WHOIS lookups contact the relevant third-party servers (public DNS resolvers, the target host, WHOIS registries) to answer your query. Those providers see the domain or host you looked up.

Logs

We keep minimal operational logs (for example, an error message if a tool fails) to keep the service healthy. These logs do not include the contents of your inputs, and we never log passwords, tokens or other secrets.

Cookies

ToolBox does not set tracking cookies. Your preferences (such as the light/dark theme and whether the sidebar is collapsed) are stored locally in your own browser and never leave your device.
